News From 2008:

12/23
Aeryglow Wildlife - Ice Storm II:

Things are slowly returning to normal here. After 8 days we finally got power turned back on... just a couple of hours before a major snowstorm rolled in. I had enough time to get all our batteries plugged in to recharge, take a long (HOT) shower and run to the store to fill up our empty fridge. The pics above are from our back woods before the snow arrived. All of the trees and branches were coated in ice. Once I returned home with groceries, the snow started and didn't stop for two days! Normally I don't grow tired of winter until late February... I usually look forward to winter weather. But I think this year I've had my fill of winter and I'm ready for spring now. Eight days without power followed by over two feet of snow in two days can do that. Sadly, there are still thousands of people nearby without power in nearby towns, this has been a very bad month weather wise for all of us.

As for Aeryglow, I'm going to start going through my IM's today. Hopefully I'll get through most of them if not all of them today. I apologize again to all of you that have had to wait for a response, this was most definitely not a typical situation for the business.

12/17
Aeryglow Wildlife - Ice Storm I: First off I deeply & sincerely apologize to anyone that's tried to reach me in the past week. We had a huge ice storm come through & I've been without power & Internet for 7 days & counting. I'm visiting a friends place an hour from home - he had power restored a day ago.

I'm fortunate to have a wood furnace as a secondary home heating option so it's been running constantly to keep the place warm. I have a newfound appreciation for people that heat with wood too... it takes so much work to get the stove running, tend it every hour, constantly re-supply the firewood in the basement. Beyond staying warm I'm working on keeping the basic necessities - fetching water out back for the loo, figuring out what to do about food, etc. It's been a crazy week.

If you've been trying to reach me, please keep checking here & I'll let everyone know when I'm able to start sorting back through IM's. I'm dying to get back online & start getting back to work here. The power company is not being very informative. Between rumor & news we could be up anytime between tomorrow & 5 weeks from now! I'm hoping it'll be sooner, most of our town has power. We're just waiting for power crews to show up on our road to re-string some power lines. Sigh. I'll post more when I have more info to share & can get to a live connection. Keep us in your thoughts, and I'll get back back to work very soon hopefully.

Aeryglow Wildlife - Fall Chores: Winter is almost here and the cold weather outside has made pre-winter chores an icy excercise. Thankfully I'm wrapping up my RL duties and I am looking forward to spending more time back indoors with a warm laptop and the virtual wildlife park. At Aeryglow Island I've had some fun with the leaf-raking I've been doing in RL by placing some of my leaves in the garden Teleport Arrival point. I photographed these leaves this year for the ground cover I created - copies can be found in the Gothic sales hut on the eastern side of the island.

I'm also continuing with updates and shop improvements. The Garden shop is mostly updated - the Aeryglow vending machines have all been replaced with purchase panels to make shopping easier. I'm working on the seaside shop next. One of the previously available (but unannounced) objects is now purchasable right in the Seaside shop. This sport surfboard is a ridable board that can do jumps and there's even a scripted trick move included! It's mostly another promo item so it's inexpensive and is a lot of fun to use if you have some water on script-enabled land.

More updates are on the way and I've also been spending some time doing some very cool stuff for Cranial Tap Inc. - there's a lot of unique technology there I don't get to talk about, but as a team we get to do some very creative things. Sometimes I wish I could share more of what we do there, but then that's one of the reasons why I keep Aeryglow running... it's a much more public side of the work I do.

Aeryglow Wildlife - Window Shopping: I've been taking some time to improve the visitor experience at the main shop location. While the vending machines work well at some of my off-island locations, they make shopping for more than one person at a time a little more difficult. And besides, the main shop has plenty of spare prims so I'm replacing the vending machines with panel boxes. For those of you that camera-shop (like I often do) this will let you plant your avatar anyplace nearby and view all the textures at your leisure. Other shop changes include better tp arrival locations, and improved signs. The Garden area is nearly finished, I hope to have the other buildings updated in the near future as well.

Also, if you haven't been by the new greenhouse yet, take a walk into it and check out the jungle plants Hodgie has installed & set for sale. In other news I'm still involved with Cranial Tap development so I'll offline a bit more than usual. I have more animal updates to announce soon as well. Looks like November is going to be another busy month!

Gothic Wildlife - Happy Halloween 2008: Halloween is nearly here and Aeryglow's holiday release is finally complete and set for sale in the Gothic Hut! This years release is a series of baby Dragonlets. These Dragonlets are only 1 prim and are fully animated. They operate in up to 5 modes:

    * The standard Freeze, Float, Loop Flight and Free Flight are available (same as the bats & birds of prey).
    * New for this release is a *Follow Mode* that allows your Dragonlet to follow you around your land!
        - Your Dragonlet will fly just over your shoulder as you move around the sim.
        - When its energy is up you may see occasional dragon breath effects or a Dragonlet call.
        - When its energy is low your Dragonlet will attempt to rest on your shoulder.

There are a number of special behaviors as well.

Each Dragonlet creates it's own unique personality on first rez. Also, each Dragonlet type has its own special dragon breath effects. All standard options apply including sound settings, friend access settings, food (Dragonlets eat small critters - Garden Mice, Garden Rats, Squirrels, with more to come) and the Perch Settings are now found in the Options Menu. Up to 4 Perch locations can be saved, either by moving the Dragonlet into position & selecting "Perch Save" or by manually entering a position. In Loop or Free Flight mode the critter will rest at the closest saved Perch Location when it becomes tired. Just as with my other flying creatures, the more space you have the faster and better your Dragonlet will fly in Free Flight mode.

I've put many many many hours into creating this new release, I hope it lives up to expectations for everyone. Currently there are five versions to choose from - Poison Dragonlet, Lightning Dragonlet, Ice Dragonlet, Fire Dragonlet and Emerald Dragonlet. In time I'll add more versions to the mix. For now, these new creatures can be found in boxes on the wall of the Gothic Wildlife Hut on the Island. There's a couple flying around as well so come visit and adopt a Dragonlet of your own for Halloween!

10/19

Jungle Wildlife - A Little More Green: If you've been by the Jungle area at Aeryglow Island you may have noticed a new greenhouse has been put in. The Hodgey's have put in a beautifully built house for their tropical plants. Being the newest area of the park the Jungle section will need more work (and more new critters). For now though, feel free to check out the cool new building and plant life. On the beach nearby you'll also find some seals playing, sleeping and swimming.

In other news, I've been hard at work on a new critter for Halloween. I'm still finalizing the details, but should have some specific details by next weekend. For now you'll have to be satisfied with the pic above. I promise the new animal will be worth the wait! Also, it appears I'll be getting pulled away to do more work for Cranial Tap so I may be harder to get hold of from time to time. I do try to keep up with IM's, but if you have an important question or need help and I don't respond in a timely fashion please drop me a notecard in case my IM's have become capped or in case an IM gets lost on logout, etc. Beyond that, stay tuned for the latest news on the next release. I'll post again when I have more details to share.

10/9

Gothic Wildlife - Welcome Fall: I had a customer ask about ground leaves the other day and at the time I was contemplating what to do special for Halloween. I thought that it has been awhile since I've really updated the Gothic area of the island and I have never really been happy with the ground leaves I had put down last year there.

In RL the leaves are falling off the trees outside so I took a camera & recorder and snapped some fresh texture pics and recorded myself walking through some deeper patches of leaves. After processing the photos and sound clips I created a wavy sculpted shape and wrote up a script that causes the leaf patches to make sounds when Avatars walk across the leaves. The whole effort went rather well and I much prefer the new ground cover to the older plain leaves I had down.

I've boxed up 4 types of ground leaf coverings and placed the boxes in the Gothic Props vending machine. Each box comes with 3 sizes of the given type all of which are copy (and no trans/mod.) The Gothic area now has the new coverings placed out to walk through as well, stop by and try walking through them for fun! ("hey you kids! get off my leaves!!") hehe.

Ohhh, I almost forgot. I did decide on a good critter to do for Halloween, but you'll have to wait just a bit longer while I work on it. I have a lot of cool fun ideas I want to try on this one... we'll see how much I can squeeze in before I have to let this next animal loose for the Holiday.

10/3

Garden Wildlife - Mice in the House!: By popular demand I've released a set of mice that are similar to the garden rats but only 1/4 the size. As seen in the pic above they are also more rounded than the larger Garden Rats. Aside from their appearance they have all the same functionality of their cousins, including food seeking (they like fresh cheese). I've replaced one of the rats near the Garden Vending Hut entrance with a mouse so stop by if you'd like to see for yourself the differences between the two types.

10/1

Aeryglow Wildlife(tm) - Props Updates: I've been working on updating props the last few days. The props web page has undergone some changes & I'll continue to improve it over the next few days. There are additional pages now to help make navigating the web site a bit easier. So... on with the props info:

The Gothic vending hut now has a dedicated props machine. I've improved the grave fogger so that it will produce fog for viewers further away. There is also a modified food item now available there - Dead Kelp. Halloween Crabs will eat Dead Kelp during October, and once it wears out the kelp becomes Ethereal Kelp which Ghost Crabs can then eat (so you don't need to wait for the Seaside Fresh Kelp to die and then expire).

Over at the Seaside Hut I've added two new versions of the copyable Tiki Torches. There's a torch with a clean new wooden post and a version with an older wooden post plus the bamboo version that has been available all along. All of these have been updated to the new business name as well. I've already updated the Seaside Props vending machine with the new torches today.

And lastly, over at the Jungle Wildlife Props vending machine I have placed a copy of the jungle bridge into the vendor. I've set the jungle bridge for sale directly as well, but the vendor's version has wooden posts that may be more fitting for most jungle environments rather than the park's green marble ones. I don't usually put park objects up for sale (it's usually more work than it's worth) however this one seemed fitting to place in the Jungle Props vendor where I would like to have more items to choose from. I may add various lengths  to choose from (they're no-mod since they don't scale well... shorter spans really require reworking the bridge). In other Jungle updates I've also improved the Birds of Prey scripting as well with some minor bug fixes for stalling, etc. I've been running the fixed code for some time now and the new birds were added to the vending machines today.

That's the bulk of the updates for now I'll have more to report very soon... oh, and don't forget to check out the new Seals!!!

9/26

Seaside Wildlife - Something Fishy(tm) Part II: Finally, another all-new animal to announce!! These guys were a lot of work, and I especially tried to get the swimming physics to be as realistic as possible. So, now the all-new Nature's Smart(tm) Seals are finally up for sale! Again, these are being released in partnership with Something Fishy(tm) so you can find them at both of our locations.

Like most of the other Aeryglow Wildlife(tm) animals these seals operate in any of four modes - Freeze, Sit, Run & Gnd Run. Freeze, Sit & Run use only non-phys movements (no swimming) and keep the seal on a level surface. In Gnd Run mode these are the first animals I've done that move in two operational settings. Above the sim water level they crawl around as any seal would do on land. When they encounter sim water they splash around until they find deep enough water and will then begin physics-enabled swimming.

There are many little details I've added to these guys, and if you'd like to see live versions there are some living on the western border of Aeryglow Wildlife(tm) island. From the live seal sounds to the eyes that open & close and unique personalities, there's a lot of work that's gone into these new animals. There are currently four seals to choose from - a Caspian Seal, a Harp Seal and two Harbor Seals (one brown, one gray).

Definitely come visit and check out the new creations and be sure to spread the word to your friends, especially if they are looking for the latest unique Aquatic Sea animals for their sim.

Garden Wildlife - Something New: I wanted to note a couple of new Garden items I released this week. The Garden Food & Props vending machine now has a Garden Rock that  has the same sculpty-ball reduction scripting as the carrots, but this object is copy & trans so you can place multiple rocks if needed or share with your friends. The rock only addresses the known SL balloon bug and doesn't feed the bunnies as the carrots do, but being able to place a number of them out should make them very useful. I'll start including them in the bunny packages instead of the carrots going forward.

Speaking of bunnies, I was asked to do a Snow Bunny. I've gone ahead and done one (see the pic above) and it can be found in the Garden Wildlife Single Animal vending machine. I've also added it to a couple of the mixed rabbit packages. In behaviors & features this rabbit is the same as the others I've done. It's the custom skin (and cute pink nose) which sets this one apart from the others. Enjoy!

Seaside Wildlife - Something Fishy(tm) Part I: My SL(tm) friends are starting to wonder if I'm still alive. I am, I've just been working my tail off on a new project. This latest critter is going to be a sea animal and is a partnership with Maggie Morgan at Something Fishy(tm) next door to Aeryglow Wildlife(tm). The new critter is nearly finished and I'm testing it now - hopefully it'll be ready for release this weekend. While the testing continues I'll tell you the story of how this creation came to be, it's been a long time in arriving...

Back when I was new to SL(tm) and was starting out my little shop, Maggie sold me some land next to her shop. We became good friends and soon I needed more prim space for my growing park. She gave me some nearby land in exchange for a couple of jointly-created animals. The first animal I scripted for her was the Blue Whale family. Soon after completing the whales, I went on to do other animals to help pay the bills - since we split the income for the joint creations I needed to do some independent creations to cover tier.

She agreed to let me give her a rain-check on the second animal and not long after the whales were released Maggie decided she wanted to get an Island. I decided to go along for the ride and our two islands were born. Once again I was trying to catch up with tier, meanwhile new technologies brought new design opportunities - sculpted prims, Havoc Updates, and now Mono LSL. As a content creator I've had my hands full and throughout the past year Maggs has been very patient & understanding.

A few months ago Maggie asked me if I'd thought much about the second animal. I asked her what she would like to have at Something Fishy(tm), adding that we should do something cool and unusual. She gave me some ideas and soon I was off doing research & thinking up how much I could do with the current LSL/Prim environment. Early this month I showed Maggie the first rough draft of our new animal - and she was ecstatic. I'm so glad she's going to be pleased with this new creation and I can't wait to share with all of you.  My next post will go into the new critters details, don't worry I promise it won't be much longer so stay tuned for Part II ...

Aeryglow Wildlife(tm) - Access Not Denied: Well my trip went well... so far as two 10-hour car rides can go (aaack - stupid road construction, nothing like converting a 5-lane highway to one lane every couple hundred miles!) Although I was exhausted when I returned I was able to fix the access list bug on all the Garden animals on Friday. The vending machines on the island are up to date, I just need to get all of the live critters updated - most of the easily accessible ones, such as near the tp arrival point, have been brought up to date already.

I also created a few specialized bulk mixed packages for the Garden Wildlife mixed package vending machine. The new bulk boxes include smaller mixes of colors vs the full mix boxes - so you can get just the light or dark or earth-tone, etc. I'll continue to add new bulk options down the line.

I'm also working hard to finish up a new release. I'll have something of note this coming weekend and will announce in-group when I have something more concrete. It's good to be home, now I have to get back to doing some hard work :)

9/9

Aeryglow Wildlife(tm) - Summer Trips: I'm heading off on a trip for a few days, so my IM's will most likely get capped while I'm gone. As I prepare to head out I've discovered a small glitch in the new scripting for the Access lists (the animals may not recognize names in the list) - if anyone is having issues with this drop me a note card & I'll make arrangements to upgrade your animal when I return. I've updated the Squirrels and Luv Bunnies with the fix & placed them in the Garden Vending machines. I'll get the rest of the new critters when I get back.

With any luck I'll be back in a few days and continue with the updates & releases!

9/2

Aeryglow Wildlife(tm) - Mono-Mono-Mono!!!: I've been working my tail off this last week, so let's get to all the good new info...

v1.31 Garden Rats: Before the mono release I was updating the "Second Wildlife" Garden Rats to "Aeryglow Wildlife(tm)" Garden Rats. I've added three new colors - Slate, Beige and Cinnamon. I've also added the ability to use Garden Rats as "Food" for the Birds of Prey (requires the latest revision birds, see below). Just like the squirrels, the rats 'play dead' for a few minutes when caught before returning to scurrying about. I've also added some owner detection so that they'll randomly wander towards you if they notice you're nearby. With Mono available as I finished up the changes I recompiled & tested the Garden Rats using LSL Mono.

v0.37 Birds of Prey: The birds of prey have received the greatest benefits from the conversion to LSL Mono. The added calculation speed & memory have allowed me to add some much needed improvements, including the following...
    - Improved Ground Avoidance: I've added scripting to help better avoid the ground in hilly areas.
    - Improved Ground Collision: When collisions can't be avoided, the scripts handle collisions better.
    - Improved Perching: The perch list clears on rez now, and the birds reach their perches more often on landing.
    - Support of Garden Rats for potential prey (requires Rat version 1.31 or higher) when food seeking is 'On', adds energy to birds.
    - Various other flying/hunting/landing improvements.
These have also been flying well for a few days using LSL Mono, of all the recent animal upgrades these have been among the most satisfying. This revision is in the vending machines now.

v0.36 Rabbits & Bunnies: With the rats running well under LSL Mono, I went back & recompiled the recently updated rabbits. These have been running happily, same as the Garden Rats.

v4.30 Squirrels: These were the latest animals to be recompiled to Mono. With the extra moving scripted prims they were more work to update than the other animals. I just finished them up yesterday and have been testing them since. They have been running well, and should not appear to operate any different from their non-Mono cousins.

All of the LSL Mono animals are now available from the vending machines. Compiling in Mono is a bit of a pain, I'm sure it'll take some getting used to. Generally, the animals don't behave much different from before - as I've mentioned previously, I already script animals to help minimize their impact on their sim whenever possible. The biggest differences are the improvements mentioned above, and in busy sims the lower resource use will definitely help keep lag at bay. As I release new animals or continue updates I'll continue to script using Mono. With these latest releases I'll keep a close eye out for any bugs, Mono is still new and any changes - even when they're made to improve behaviors - can introduce unintended glitches. I've tried to catch all the possible bugs, as always my goal is to provide the best possible scripting that I am able to.

Well, all the new changes should keep everyone happy for a little while until I can get the next new items out. I'll keep working hard, I have some new ideas I want to try, I'll post about them soon (hopefully)!

8/25

Aeryglow Wildlife(tm) - The Beauty is in the Details: I'm continuing to review and refine the all-new scripting for the bunnies & crabs. In all the improved scripts are performing as expected with only some minor tweaking required. I'm still working on adjusting the chat frequency on the luv bunnies to meet the expectations of myself and of all of you out there. I've also closed some minor glitches with all the bunnies/crabs and improved some of the status info. The animal food has also been updated with improvements in appearance and scripting. All of these changes are available in the food & animals now out for sale - I went through and updated all the vendors and 'live' critters.

LSL Mono is still on its way to SL(tm), I'm working on some updates that will hopefully make the best use of Mono. My next update will hopefully have some good news along these lines... I'll keep my fingers crossed that the roll out goes well for Linden Labs(tm) this week.

8/15

Aeryglow Wildlife(tm) - Rabbit Multiplication: I'm still awaiting LSL Mono, which has been postponed yet again so I'm continuing with updates. This week I've updated the cute little bunny critters with all-new scripts and new rabbit types. As you can see above we now have quite a collection, including some broken coats and new colors including Chocolate, Gray, Yellow, Violet, etc. One new rabbit - the Psychedelic Bunny - even has a color-changing fur coat! I've improved the Luv Bunny heart jewels shape as well. In all there are now 18 rabbits/bunnies to choose from. Keeping up with so many variants is becoming some work, I don't know how Maggie Morgan next door does it with Fishy (she has hundreds of fish to keep going). I do enjoy the variety though, it's fun to try out different color combinations and patterns to see what works and what doesn't. The end result is a more colorful SL(tm) existence.

All of the scripts have been completely revised. Most of the changes were to free up memory and improve processing speeds, reduce lag, etc. and won't be immediately visible. The 'Food' option is back now ('On' is the default setting) so users can turn off the Food seeking to further reduce resource use if they desire. Also, many of you have asked about their chat setting - the chat was good for a single rabbit but could become too cumbersome with multiple rabbits running about. I've greatly reduced the chat frequency for version 0.30 and included a method for turning off bunny chat. The secret is to open the "Options" menu, then select "Rename". At the rename prompt, type and enter "/8 no chat" to toggle chat on or off. Other minor improvements include better Status info and some behavior adjustments.

For the time being, the new versions are only available from the Garden Wildlife vending machine at the main shop. The Multi-Pack vending machine has some new mixed packs - an updated Rabbit Mixed Pack, updated Bunny Mixed Pack and a new Luv Bunny Pair Pack. I'll update the 'live' bunnies nearby and offsite vending machines as I get the free time.

8/1

Aeryglow Wildlife(tm) - More Crawlie Updates!: More Updates and New Releases to announce! Crab scripts have been overhauled to work better with the new physics engine. I've also added a sitting mode where they'll randomly look around while remaining in place. Also, three new crabs have been added to the family - a Red Crab based on Christmas Island Red Crabs, a Rock Crab based on the Atlantic Rock Crabs I used to find on the beach when I was a young child, and a Ghost Crab which glows in the dark & eats Ethereal (expired) Kelp! Additionally, the new/updated crabs are all compatible with the Animal Finder. All of the new versions are available from the Seaside Hut on Aeryglow Wildlife (tm) Island.

In other news, the Seaside Hut is undergoing some renovations. I've split up the multi-pack/single-pack/props items into separate vending machines to make shopping easier. Hope & Hodgie's vending machines have been moved upstairs and I've added elevators to carry shoppers up to the second floor. I'll post a pic here once the new building is finished.

Lastly, the updated crickets have been added to the vending machines. All new crickets now include Animal Finder Support. I'll be away for a few days, in the meantime enjoy the updated releases!

7/25

Aeryglow Wildlife(tm) - Bald Eagles!: I have a new Bird of Prey to announce, thanks to some texture work by Hodgey Hogfather. If you haven't been to Hodgie's Nature Stand, stop by the Aeryglow Wildlife(tm) Garden area to see some of their flowers & pick up a landmark from one of their signs. Hodgie & Hodgey do some great texture work and as an Eagle expert Hodgey wanted to try improving the golden eagle skin to more closely match real-life feather patterns and do a bald eagle. The results look great and I've applied the new skins to the latest version eagles. He did admit that texturing animals can be challenging work, especially with the amount of prim torture I seem to create. Despite the challenge the skin came out wonderfully and the new Bald Eagles are flying around the mountain at the main shop location.

I've also been refining the bird scripts further for improved performance. If your bird is having issues drop me a notecard and I'll be happy to upgrade your bird to the latest version. I'm still awaiting LSL Mono so that I can add better ground avoidance. The birds flying around the mountain seem to be doing much better but do occasionally get trapped by the near vertical rise, so make the best use of your home point and limits to minimize the chances of flying into tall mountains! I'll keep trying to improve this behavior over time.

In other news, I've updated the crickets so that they'll respond to the Animal Finder. Although they don't move around they are very small and hard to see, plus the latest SL viewers seem to cut out smaller objects more easily than in the past. That combination makes the Animal Finder compatability nice to have. The new versions will go into the vending machines in early August, and I've updated the crickets I can find on the island (I have a few more to locate still) but will get the rest of those sitting out this weekend.

The Garden area at the Aeryglow Wildlife(tm) island has been converted over to the new group finally, that just leaves the Gothic area to do, plus I need to close out the older 'Second Wildlife' group. I have a new group of completely updated animals almost ready to announce, I hope to have them ready by early next week - the updates do include some new models as well as scripting improvements. I'm trying to implement all of the improvements you've asked for as I go through and update animals to the new business name. I'll keep everyone posted as they all get completed.

7/17

Aeryglow Wildlife(tm) - Crawlie Updates!: Once again I've gotten myself a bit sidetracked. I need to get back to group stuff, but in the meantime check out the latest dropping spider updates at the main shop. As with all my critters I needed to update the names & scripts with the new business name, but the dropping spider has also remained virtually unchanged since I released it back in 2006. Yes, these were among the first of my SL(tm) creations (originally in physical form - now only available that way from the spider and summoner wands.) One spring, when I was slacking on lawn mowing duties a bit, I came across a Yellow Garden Spider in the tall grass and have wanted to do a SL(tm) version inspired by the brightly colored real-life version. The result is shown above on the right - an all new Yellow Garden Spider! I've completely updated the code for smoother, more precise operation and have reduced the prim count to just 4 prims!

I've gone beyond that and created a series of different colored Garden Spiders to choose from, and the multi-pack vending machine has an assorted color 10-pack if you'd like to pick up the whole series and then some. All of these function the same as the original dropping spider. Place them upside-down, adjust the sensor & drop settings and watch them drop down when someone walks nearby.  You can also attach them to yourself (their legs will animate) and carry them around as a familiar. The new brighter textures really stand out when attached.

As a side note... I now remember why I haven't messed with these in so long, the mathematics for getting the animations just right are pretty annoying to work out. I've tried to modify the framework so that I can update these more easily in the future.

As if to test out the new framework I decided to try updating the Gothic Tarantulas as well, and added an all-new spider - a Dropping Black Widow! Again, I reduced the prim count to 4 for the Tarantulas and all of the Gothic spiders get all-new surface and leg textures. I also added a new Brown Tarantula to the available choices. Finally, these versions are closer to what I had originally intended back when I first built them.

I'm not sure what I'll do next, I do still need to update external vending machines and the related web entries here with all the new spiders.
I'll do a group announcement for these soon too to get the word out to everyone. Definitely check out the latest & take some home to play in your Gardens today!

7/9

Aeryglow Wildlife(tm) - Welcome To The New Group!: Group invites have all gone out today (whew!) I still have to change over many animals to the new name, but the business name change is getting closer to being complete. In the near future I'll close out the old "Second Wildlife" group, so members may start seeing removal notices if SL(tm) sends a group removal note.

7/5

Aeryglow Wildlife(tm) - Continuous Improvements: Hi All! I've been working on some side projects to help pay the bills, but am back on animal programming this week. I've been returning some customer requests in recent days, starting with the hodgepodge drawbridge. I was using freeware music that required ad support, so I had incorporated the ad on the touch sign (the green one in the pic above). This week I paid for a fully licensed 34 second music clip and incorporated the new music into both the normal & XL bridges. I've removed the green signs and updated all the bridges I know of, including those in the Seaside vending machine.

I've been fine tuning other objects as well. The carrots are a little smaller - I'm trying to balance ease of location (larger) sizes with more realistic (smaller) sizes & hope I find a good balance somewhere in-between. The Garden Food&Props vendor has the latest version, the veggie garden has the latest versions and there is a carrot just outside of the veggie garden fence
(the nearby white rabbit may be munching on it) that's a slightly smaller size than all the others in case you want something more realistically sized & are confident you can relocate the carrot at a later time. I've also been refining the birds of prey. I've noticed on the Aeryglow (tm) Wildlife mountain the birds sometimes were getting stuck on the land. I've re-written the LSL code to help reduce this behavior. The flight speed has also been refined somewhat.

I've created a new rabbit multi-pack for the Garden Multi-Pack vending machine that includes a variety of normal color rabbits. The pack has 4 brown, 3 black & 3 white rabbits. If I do any further 'normal' rabbit colors I'll update the multi pack with them.

I hope to get back to new critters in the near future, I'm also hoping LSL mono will be released soon so I can take advantage of the scripting improvements across the Aeryglow (tm) product line. I also need to work on group updates, I am still planning to send out invites soon, any wagers on a date for new group invites, lol? I realize I keep postponing group transfer... so much to do, so little time in life.

Aeryglow Wildlife(tm) - Birds of Prey: Finally a couple of all-new animals to announce! I started these birds back in April but the SL(tm) issues that kept me busy in April/May postponed the work I wanted to do on these. You can find these in the Jungle Wildlife vending machines up on the mounting vending hut. They are only 1 Prim and have a number of sitting/flying/hunting behaviors. They currently hunt chipmunks/squirrels when the food option is turned on, I'll add more options as time goes on. You can also save up to four perch locations for them to rest at, similar to the bat sleeping points. These birds have behavioral scripting much like the lions, they'll hunt and perch more when tired and will fly higher and faster when fully rested or fed. I packed the script full of goodies, hopefully they'll be as fun to watch as they have been to make :)

Keep in mind that the trade-off of 1-prim critters is the SL(tm) sculptie balloon bug that requires sculpted prim support. I've updated the jungle bones with the Birds of Prey info, just make sure you place out v0.00 or newer for them to work properly (the old version had no revision in its name). I've also created a Raptors Nest to provide the same support, plus it makes a nice prop to use as a perching location. Both of these can be found in the Props vending machine next to the machines where the birds are found. Just place one of these in the vicinity where you'll be standing when you are viewing the birds. For larger areas you may want to place support in other locations, the jungle bones are copyable (and support the lions as well as the birds).

In other news, I'm working on transferring everything over to the new Aeryglow Wildlife (tm) group. In the near future I'll start sending out invites to people and closing out the Second Wildlife group. I'll post more when I start the invitations.

Aeryglow Wildlife(tm) - A New Beginning: Second Wildlife Island has officially been renamed to Aeryglow Wildlife (tm) today. I'm going through all of my Landmarks, Notecards, Textures, Scripts, etc. to update everything to the new name. It'll probably take months to catch everything, but for the most part the change is official. I'll also send out invitations this week to the new group.

If you haven't been by the Garden Wildlife (tm) section of the island lately come take a look around. I've added some new gardens as well as a slick new elevator up to Hodgie's plant vending machines on the second floor of the vending building (shown above). The first floor houses the Aeryglow Wildlife (tm) garden animal vending machines, and I've rearranged things a bit for easier shopping.

In other news, it's come to my attention today that the wand crystals were not working properly on bare ground. I'm not sure what caused this, I recall them working fine the last time I used them and no one's mentioned the crystals weren't transforming into animals. Anyhow, I've re-written the code and placed the updated wands into the Garden Wildlife (tm) Food&Props vendor. If anyone wants their wand updated, drop me your old wand & send me an IM.

In other news, I'm finishing up some detail work & testing on a new critter I'll announce in the next few days. It's been a couple months since I've had something completely new, this one should be worth the wait.

Garden Wildlife(tm) - Food for Thought: I have just a couple more pages here to finish before I'll start directing all the web traffic from the old site to here automatically. I've also begun updating The Garden Wildlife product line with the new name and refined some of the scripting, starting with the promotional/food items. The coffee mugs now have new textures and chat the correct name. I also improved my food script to account for the number of days passed a better way, thus allowing longer freshness - both the cheese and carrots last for 21 days (three weeks) now as fresh food. They also chat the new name (and I've reduced the chat frequency) when the freshness is about to end. I'm going to continue updating objects to the new name & will refine scripting as I go along to hopefully bring better functionality along to everyone. I also have some new items to announce in the near future, so stay tuned!

Aeryglow Wildlife(tm) - First New Website Post: Woo-hoo, the new website is up and live. I need to go through & clean up these old SW web pages, so it'll take some time before this site is fully live.

When I started this adventure back in 2006, the "Second Wildlife" name was a cute & catchy in-world name for someone just doing this for fun. I also wasn't (at the time) planning to make a living selling SL(tm) objects. As the business has grown however I have had to look at this venture from a whole new perspective. Recently Linden Labs announced they are going to begin evaluating & enforcing trademark infringements on businesses in Second Life(tm), including business names too closely tied to Second Life(tm). The dilemma was do I wait for the day LL decides for whatever reason that "Second Wildlife" infringes on their trademark or do I do something now while I'm still a tiny player. I decided to go ahead and change the business name now rather than to wait.

The new name "Aeryglow Wildlife (tm)" uses essentially a made-up word, so I'll likely not have to change the business name again (whew). "Aery" means ethereal or visionary, and "glow" of course means giving off light. Together, I hope at least, the meaning of the name represents Wildlife that is by its own nature a visionary illusion come to life. It's still going to take me time to get used to the new name so I'd not be surprised for those of you out there that have come to know & love my creations to have to become used to it as well. The seagulls in the sun icons will not change, nor will the fonts I use on all my items. You should start seeing the new name pop up on textures & wildlife creations, etc. very soon. The old name will be around for awhile as it'll take a lot of work to change everything over, I'll try to keep things as smooth as possible. I'll post more info in the near future.

For now, wander over to the Second Wildlife site for info on all our critters, and thanks in advance for your patience ;)

In other news, the latest release is a new little garden chipmunk. He's based on the little red squirrels and has all the same behaviors, etc. I'll have them rolled out to the other vending machines later in the week. I also spent some time testing the squirrels in the mono beta sandbox, looks like they'll run just fine when mono LSL occurs if nothing is changed between now & then. I'm looking forward to mono myself, not so much for the speed improvements (my critters tend to run slow to keep lag down anyhow) but I'll be able to reduce multiple function calls to further reduce lag.

Second Wildlife (TM) - Catching Up!!: SL(tm) seems to be getting back to normal these days, I'm having better luck keeping up with IM's now & hope to finally have some time to do some new creations.  I apologize for going so long with nothing new, but customer service comes first, and boy have I had my hands full! I have a couple of small releases I hope to turn out shortly so I'll post again soon (I hope) and get back to work for now!

4/30

Second Wildlife (TM) - Getting Back To Normal: Well the new server patch went out this past weekend and things look much better. The server rotation/movement bug seems to be fixed. I've been working to catch up on IM's and hope to get back to doing some new animals again soon. April was a difficult month in-world, let's hope May goes much better! Once I catch up on things I'll post an entry on new releases/improvements.

4/15

Second Wildlife (TM) - Happy Tax Day!!: Hi all, just wanted to give everyone a quick update on the Rotation bug that is being worked on. Andrew Linden has handed off the JIRA entry to Kelly Linden  who has been working on the issue since last week. Here's the latest:

1.) Andrew Linden has confirmed this is a *server* bug
2.) The Lindens believe the servers are setting objects to 'Selected' and not unselecting them.
        - Rotating objects set to 'Selected' will not rotate
        - Physical objects set to 'Selected' will not move
3.) Resetting the sim sets all the objects to 'Unselected' thus fixing the problem for a short while.

This explanation does seem to match what I've seen. We're still waiting on a solution and then the bug fix will need to be rolled out to all servers. Keep your fingers crossed, hopefully we'll hear of a server patch for this very soon!

Second Wildlife (TM) - The Gears of SL Turn On & On ... Usually: I'm going to be away for a few days to visit some family. I just wanted to post an update to the latest SL issue crossing the grid before I go. JIRA SVC-1910 is seeing a lot of activity - apparently objects all over SL are shutting down. Andrew Linden is currently assigned to the project and it *is* marked critical, so the best we can do for now is wait for some form of response on the problem. Here's what I've gathered so far:

1.) The problem is seen on viewers 1.19.0, 1.19.1 & 1.20.0 equally.
2.) The problem occurs for XP, Vista, Linux & Mac machines
3.) This bug seems to disappear when the sim is reset, though it appears to crop back up after some time (I am observing Second Wildlife and Something Fishy need a re-boot after 3 days)
4.) The problem appears to crop up on mainland & private sims.

Everything I've seen says this is a server bug. However the reproduction time (3 days in my case) makes this a very difficult issue to investigate, so let's hope Andrew has some good luck tracking this down. I'll keep everyone informed when I return if anything new is discovered. As I mentioned there is a huge number of objects in SL affected, the vote tally on SVC-1910 has passed 100 in the space of a week which is highly unusual for a JIRA entry. Hang in there guys, I'll chat more later!

Second Wildlife (TM) - Utter Chaos: Well, March was a busy month - just not in the way I had expected. Soon after my last posting a close friend of mine lost her mom to a long illness, so I left for a few days to be with her. In the process of visiting with friends & family I brought home a flu that was going around at the time. I don't get overly sick very often, but this years flu was particularly nasty and had me in bed for a good week. I got well just in time to tackle my business taxes for Second Wildlife (TM) in order to have them done before the 4/15 deadline. All I can say is I have the best (and most patient) accountant, and am glad I track everything in Quicken diligently. The month flew by and while I was out a lot of changes happened in-world.

Throughout all of this off world activity I've tried to log in-world when I can to catch up on IM's and check on the island. At times I have been a little slow to respond and I apologize to those that have had to wait for a response. The Second Life world has been particularly unstable lately which has made keeping up even more difficult. Most recently I've been getting reports that the seagulls and bats may stop moving. A sim reset seems to fix the problem for a few hours or days, but they eventually stop moving again. This bug was introduced with the latest server upgrade and is affecting objects all over the grid. In fact it's broken moving objects that use a single line of code! JIRA has several related issues listed for this and other new bugs. I'm tracking the JIRA entries and watching for a fix, but for the time being we'll all have to ride out the mess. On the brighter side, the squirrels, bunnies, lions, etc. all seem to be running fine since the updates.

Depending on how much support I need to provide in the near future, I'll try to get back to doing new creations. The current bugginess is eating up hours of my time unfortunately, and if you are trying to get a response from me for an issue please be patient - I do try to respond to all your help requests. If you don't hear from me in a few days just drop a reminder as it's possible I crashed & lost your IM.

Garden Wildlife (TM) - Squirreled Away: March looks to be an active month. Many of you have asked for some rare varieties of Squirrels, so I've gone ahead and done a Black Squirrel (they're common to Midwestern North America) and a White Squirrel (a rare mutation found in many gray squirrel populations). Both of these new colors are available from the Garden Vending machine on Aeryglow Wildlife Island. In addition to the new colors I've updated the scripting for v4.20:

    * In the 'Options' menu, select 'Rename' and then enter "/8 say my name" to toggle floating name text on and off!
    * Squirrels now become less active at night and more active during the day for added realism.
    * Squirrels will tend to gravitate toward their owner if you are nearby.
    * Range Limit behavior has been improved, squirrels will tend to avoid the edge of their play area.
    * Squirrels may be used as food in the future for other animals - I'll have more on this when I implement it :)
    * Squirrels now respond to Second Wildlife's Animal Finder

As for the last item in the list, I've finally completed the Animal finder and placed it into the Garden Props vending machine and the Jungle Props vending machine. It's both copyable & transferable so you can pass a copy along to your friends. Simply rez it on the ground & touch it to locate your animals - their names & locations will be displayed for you. It currently supports Lions, Rabbits (v0.20 and up) and now the Squirrels (v4.20 and up). I'll add to the list as time goes by, all new animals will be scripted to work with the locater.

The new Squirrels & Locater are available at the main shop and will be rolled out to all my other vending machines at the start of next month, I have more releases coming soon, I'll be sure to keep everyone posted!

Garden Wildlife (TM) - Let's Get Lucky: St. Patrick's Day is on it's way and I thought it would be fun to do something special for the occasion, so there's a trio of announcements to make.

First, in partnership with our sister sim Costa del Sol we're running a Pot 'O Gold contest. Costa del Sol is giving out $$$ L's as prizes (you may see some of their advertising boards on the Island). At Second Wildlife Island we're giving out promotional items as well as some small $L amounts. If you see one of the pots of gold pictured above simply touch it and you may win a prize if you're lucky!
A couple new items are possible contest prizes and they are available in the Garden Wildlife (TM) vending machines as well.

One of the new products is a new bunny - "Shamrock Bunny". Not only does this bunny come in a dark green shade, but when he detects a Second Wildlife Shamrock he'll head towards it for a nibble to restore some energy!

The third announcement is the release of a Shamrock, a four-leaf clover that has flexi leaf pedals. Every March this Shamrock will become active - emitting particles and becoming nutritional to Shamrock Bunnies. Shamrocks also help reduce bunny bubbling (all rabbit types) all year long so long as it's rezzed nearby. This food item can be found at the main shop in the Garden Wildlife (TM) food&props vending machine and one is included free with all boxed Shamrock Bunnies.

I've updated the Garden and Food&Props pages with the latest info. I'm working on some more updates so I'll try to have a post later in the week. For now stop by & pick up a lucky 4-leaf clover or a lucky Bunny for your sim!

2/22

Second Wildlife (TM) - More Updates: Before moving on to a new animal, I wanted to take some time to update some older items that have been annoying me for awhile.

During a recent SL update the Lindens re-introduced the rotating object Second Life bug that causes objects to stop rotating sometimes. I've added a temporary fix to the seagulls to deal with this bug for now. These gulls also have a shorter emitter ball (4m tall instead of 10m) to reduce their footprint. This is about as small as I can make the base at this time without affecting the functionality of the radius setting, linkset, etc.
So far the modified seagulls seem to be running fine so I've added them to the main shop vending machines.

Another Seaside Wildlife product I've wanted to improve was the Tiki Torches on the island and in the main Seaside Vending machine. I've improved the scripting and re-done the particle effects. The flame particles look the same as before but can be viewed from much farther away now. I had never really been happy with the smoke particles, so I created all-new smoke as well. All of the torches on the island (no copy/trans) have been replaced, and the Seaside Vending machine has the latest version (copy/no trans) available as well.

Due to a request a couple of months ago I added a random sleep/wake call to my bats. However they were waking up too often for my liking so I've made this behavior much less frequent. While testing out the change I noticed the Flying Fox Bats were flying much slower than I had intended. I found & fixed the code for that, so the Fox Bats now fly at a more normal speed if they have the room to do so.

I have a couple more small updates to take care of and then I'll do something all new. I've also been building the Jungle on the north area of the island. I'll do a full entry on the new area in the near future as well, but feel free to check it out next time you stop by Second Wildlife. The Lion Vending machine has already been moved up to the Jungle Vending Hut, and new teleport panels will take you right to the hut.

Second Wildlife (TM) - Lion a Round: As I finish up the Lions, I'm getting to some updates I've been wanting to do. The first issue to get addressed is the sculpted prim ball issue that has been a royal pain on these last two releases. I have been working with the Lindens to raise this issue, and in the process have come up with a temporary workaround.

First off, the Linden response - it's essentially "we don't consider this an important issue" so they're not going to do anything about it any time soon. I've mentioned the JIRA entry previously, go and vote it up, post an entry, really I don't know what else we can do to raise the importance on this. Perhaps nothing. But until the bug is fixed, standalone single prim animated objects aren't going to happen anytime soon.

Now for the SL hack that will make your animals happy. Basically you'll need to pick up a food item for your animal (which will need to be a recent version pet as well) and rez it nearby. Specifically for the current 1-prim animals:

Rabbits/Bunnies: Place out a carrot for them. The food effect will only last a few days but the sculptie support lasts as long as the carrot is rezzed.
Lions: Place out a set of the new Jungle Bones (shown above), there's no feeding effect with these - they're sculptie support only.

I'll update the Food&Props web page soon with all the details. Also keep in mind these objects will only work on rabbits/bunnies v0.20 or higher and lions v0.30 or higher. There were some changes to each I had to make to have these work properly so they were not backward compatible. If you want to upgrade your current rabbits/lions, create a folder in your inventory with your name on it and drop any animals you want upgraded into the folder. Drop me that folder with animals in and I'll upgrade them & return for free. Make sure you don't have busy mode on so I can drop a new folder back to you afterward.

I apologize to everyone that has been frustrated with this problem, it's a typical SL bug and hopefully the temporary fix will be mostly painless. Both support items are very inexpensive and should last forever as far as the prim fix goes. The carrots are still promotional items so they are trans only, the bones which provide no feeding effect are both copy & trans.

2/12

Jungle Wildlife (TM) - Lions on the Loose: I've completed the papa Lion and am ready to officially announce the release of the Lion Pride! I've made some changes to the scripting for all Lions based on feedback from the early versions. Mainly I've fixed the issue where the lions would run away on rez if they were not frozen before taking them into inventory. I've also improved the Pride grouping scripts, and there have been a number of smaller details adjusted. I am very pleased that with all that these Lions accomplish they are still very Sim friendly. All of the details listed in the 2/1 blog entry still apply, and I've added a Jungle Wildlife page with a Lion entry that spells out all of the behaviors, options, etc.

On Second Wildlife Island I've begun to build the Jungle area in the north. There are some lions set out on the plain that you can watch run and hunt. On the peak of Jungle Mountain I'm building the sales hut for the area and will have teleports to the vending machine there in the near future. Be sure to buy lions from the vending machines if you want custom behaviors created the first time you rez your animal, the "live" ones have been pre-programmed with standard behaviors. Until teleports to the new sales hut are ready I have placed a Jungle Vending Machine in the Garden area as well.

2/7

Garden Wildlife (TM) - Bunny Heaven: As promised, an update on the latest bunny news! Second Wildlife (TM) is proud to announce there are 5 new variations available at the Garden Wildlife Vending Machine. There are two "Luv Bunnies", smaller more adorable versions of the standard rabbits with red jewels affixed to them, just in time for Valentines Day! They come in black & white and are more affectionate than the standard rabbits, so they're more likely to hang around nearby their owner and more likely to befriend other avatars. They also differ in that they cannot be used as prey for lions and other large predators - more on this in a moment. Also, the standard sized bunnies are now available in three new colors - Black, Green and Watermelon!

In addition to the new Luv Bunnies and the new colors, the standard rabbits have all been updated with new, improved scripting. They tend to hop around more, behave better at limit boundaries and and have all-new "prey" behaviors. When they sense a predator nearby, these bunnies will attempt to evade the other animal. If unsuccessful, and the predator has it's food option turned "On" the rabbit will slowly disappear when caught. After a couple of minutes the rabbit will re-appear and continue on it's merry way. Rabbits are safe as long as the predator has his food option turned "Off" (this is the default setting) and will not be detected while they are asleep.

The new behaviors are quite entertaining to watch, I've rezzed a few brown rabbits to hop around with some lions & carrots nearby in the Northwest  area of Second Wildlife Island. The lions tend to get sleepy at night if they don't capture enough food, the rabbits become sleepy during the day if they don't find enough carrots to eat.
Stop by and check out the mini ecosystem in action, if you'd like to take some bunnies home all the new versions have been available in the Garden Vending Machine as of Feb 1st.

2/1

Jungle Wildlife (TM): They've been a lot of work, but Second Wildlife's (TM) first lions have been unleashed! I have both a Lioness and a Lion Cub finished for everyone to take home with themselves. There are so many details I've added for this release I may miss some here, and I'll need to add a new page for jungle animals like these. For now you can find them hunting in the Northeast area of Second Wildlife (TM) Island, and they can be purchased from a vending machine in the Garden Sales Hut where the bunnies & squirrels are found. Sooo...

First off, these are 1 prim and non-phys - each one will take up almost no prim space and is extremely low lag (sim friendly)! Like the bunnies, they recognize their owner & friends and will gravitate toward you (usually). A new feature however is that if you buy one from a vendor it will set its personality as soon as you first rez it. For instance one lion may be more affectionate than another and thus will hang around you more. I'm hoping these programmed traits will cause each lion to have its own personality.

Like the rabbits I released last month, these lions explore, get tired & sleep to recover energy and they lose less energy when a friend or their owner is nearby. Feeding them was a bit of a dilemma, for you see lions tend to eat other animals (typically larger mammals) so I couldn't do a veggie snack this time. Since these are my first large land critters the best I had was the cute furry little bunnies... yep, the lions will eat rabbits if the "Food" option is turned on! Don't feel too bad, the bunnies are pretty good at outmaneuvering the big cats most of the time. I'll do another entry soon on the rabbit improvements I've made for this month, but there are quite a few to tell you about. For now just know that caught bunnies go to heaven only for a short time before being re-incarnated and hopping along on their merry way again. The lions, to improve the chances of catching prey will link together and form a Lion Pride. Each Pride can contain one Lioness, one Cub and (when I get them done) one Male Lion. When a member of the Pride captures prey he lets the other members know so that they can come have whatever is left over! Pride groupings are somewhat random and re-set when rezzed or when "home" is set.

That's most of the new stuff. Like I've said, there was a lot of new work done on these. They're animated sculpties, so there's still the
MISC-333 issue some people may experience (click on the link, sign in & vote on the Linden JIRA entry if you want it addressed) but I felt it was worth going ahead with these since they do promise to be entertaining to watch and should be stable for most people. All of the standard options still apply - you can rename them, give friends the ability to operate, adjust sound levels & turn food seeking on & off. I've also created an animal finder that will locate any lions you own on your sim, I'll add it to the vending machine in the near future as a 1L item for people's convenience. Future animals will be detectable with this same finder.

Quite a long entry for a single new release, however these are by far the best attempt I've had at land animals IMHO. I'll probably change them a dozen times. Lol. Yes, I can't leave anything alone and I'll prove it with my next entry - Rabbit/Bunny improvements released this month. For now, stop by the island & check out the new wildlife residents!

Second Wildlife (TM):
Happy Early Valentines Day everyone! As mentioned previously, I've finished up a contest controller for Cranial Tap and they are running a "Find a Heart & Win" contest at their Costa del Sol shopping center in Montserrat. If you see a floating heart that looks something like the one pictured above, touch it and you might win a prize! They're giving out prize money and a couple small items, up to $L1000 a day. The hearts rez throughout the shopping area, and if no one finds the current heart a new one will replace it after a few minutes time.

I'm running a smaller version of the contest at Second Wildlife (TM) with prizes ranging from free animal food and small L$ payouts to (if you're really lucky) the Luv Bunnies shown above. They're smaller than their cousins in the vending machines and carry heart-shaped jewels on their chest. I'll most likely add them to the Garden Vending Machine for February, but for the time being they can only be won from the contest. The hearts rez throughout the Garden, Seaside, Gothic and Bar areas with only one out at a time, and a new one re-rezzes every few minutes in case the current one isn't found. So, if you see a floating, spinning heart appear in front of you be sure to click on it and you may receive a reward in return!

Second Wildlife (TM):
A new year, brings new possibilities! I have been busy with a few projects. The FAQ page has been updated and I've added a couple of links to some known SL bugs on the Linden Labs JIRA site - namely MISC-333 (sculpted shapes turning into a ball) and SVC-54 (rotating objects that stop moving). If you've arrived to find an answer to either of those issues definitely link to the JIRA site and vote on one of those to up the priority on them, you'll need to log in with your SL name & password there first.

Valentines Day is coming up and I hope to have something fun running at the park for the holiday. Cranial Tap has asked me to set up a contest controller for their Costa Del Sol resort for the holiday, so I'll see if I can place a version out at Second Wildlife as well. When it's up & running I'll provide further details.

I'm also working on a new critter, shown here. I have a demo out in the garden hut that essentially sleeps in place, the full version will hopefully be ready in a couple of weeks. There are a lot of improvements I've made based on the bunny scripts, so I'm looking forward to getting this feline finished. I'll keep everyone posted on her as well!
